I  am a Procurement & Category Management specialist, and I have been successfully working for some major confectionery companies and suppliers of processed commodities for the production of confectionery products since 2006. During these years, I have worked to become a reliable and experienced professional and deliver quality results.

My transversal competencies apply to the management of categories and portfolios of global suppliers, cost saving projects, risk mitigation, project management and value increase through the implementation of vertical integration, and Corporate Social Responsibility projects.

I offer support to my partners through category management training and implementation, tailor-made training on individual commodity markets, access to key market information and operational support in the purchasing process, vertical integration and CSR implementation.

My Curriculum

Main projects from January 2017:

  • Vertical integration applied to the cocoa supply chain of a leading Italian confectionery company: responsible sourcing from selected cooperatives and processing of cocoa by carefully selected intermediaries, ensuring traceability and segregation, implementation of financial risk management tools (hedging trough commodity futures).

  • Creation of a new business line for trading dried fruits on behalf of a leading European company, in order to import and market almonds through the creation of a logistic and commercial network.
  • “Greenfield” project for the creation of a fully traceable regional hazelnut supply chain involving about 100 producers.
  • Training and advice on the purchase of cocoa.

Previous experience:

I worked as a procurement manager for the Ferrero Group, for which I implemented vertical integration projects and managed Corporate Social Responsibility projects, as well as several Governance, Risk and Compliance implementation plans. I built a global knowledge network and developed transversal skills in the food industry with regard to commodities.

  • COCOA PRODUCTS, from 2014 to 2016

I managed the global portfolio of cocoa products, powder, butter, liquor and chocolate, dealing with both product purchase and stock market hedging.

  • DRIED FRUITS, from 2008 to 2013

As Hazelnut Procurement Expert, I was responsible for purchasing in shell hazelnuts and hazelnut kernels for the group’s processing units. Over the years, I have been involved in logistics, planning, crop estimation and supply chain projects, gaining a deep understanding of the sector, from the field to the factory.

I was the group manager for the supply of almonds.

I speak Italian, English, French and Spanish fluently.
